Hello all.
Any links to recent NL or Swiss type foundries? apart from Lineto, bürodestruc, etc. I was looking for that NL feeling for a free gig to a friend, so not too expensive type would be welcome. ty in advance.

i think he said "not too expensive" heh..

This link might help you too:

Sorry.

i have no idea how to convey "that Dutch feeling" with one font. if there's one thing about Dutch graphic design (imho) it is that it is terribly diverse..

let me think for 1 minute... i can explain what i mean.
anyway... the price for the underware in holland, wow ;)
- StuBru0
Yeah, sorry again for the underware link, vsc, but I didn't read your question good enough, thought you were looking for links to Dutch type foundries, no matter the prices... Anyway, hope the second link serves you better. And what Crouwel said.

i'm sorry. there was a specimen here but they've changed the site:
http://www.werkplaatstypografie.…i was looking for one of those serif fonts with an edge... am i making any sense? there was a font between serif and sans-serif but i can't remember where it was. it was dutch though.
- vsc0
np StuBru. It's my fault trying to find good type for a few €.
Underware is great, like Lineto, Veer, but they aim for studios not freelance (with friends!).
- Crouwel0
not with an edge.
but this is typical old skool Dutch high class font designdon't know about the prices..
- vsc0
i think i meant something like "dolly" on underware, but that's 150 E. no way...
- Crouwel0
ah i see. dolly is nice. so are a lot of others on underware. but yes, they are mighty expensive.

this guy's type makes me think, "wow, that shit is so dutch."

thx Crouwel and Stu. those are really nice but way over the budget. I'm doing a isometric cover for a psychology thesis, but the bulk of the work, copies, etc, doesn't allow any play for design expense beyond printing. I was thinking of buying a nice font on my own and use it in other work, but beyond 50€ for 1 spec. is too much for me now.

I might go for Transfer_F on typotek (nice french one). Some have flemish feeling ;)

didn't look through the posts but :

hey johndiggity, thx for that link. following gerardunger.com re-sellers one can find:
http://www.dutchtypelibrary.com/…
the kind of font i was looking for is there in a animated gif. not an easy site to travel but it must be there.
useless to say: i love you all. thank you.
- vsc0
hey bolus, great (GREAT) link. thanks.
- bolus0
picked it up in from the pbs a while ago :)

these guys surely have some other job and do not live from typography. check what they call "prices"!
