nothing there?

either you made a wicked layout on purpose (and i like it) or something's wrong in FF. but actually nothing happens.
If that's a statement that's ok.

oh boy.
too much mystery. not enough structure. yeah structure. design is about presenting information clearly (unless you intentionally being ambiguous) but as a whole, this just feels like a hodge-podge of your stuff.
grids are your friends, really....
i didn't know the difference between the video and image links (i HATE when my bandwidth is taken when I am unawares....)
photos: un organized and common on photography sites: images that don't seem to tell a story even though they are well composed and in appropriate focus

i like where you're going, B&W and serifs, the obscure feeling etc, but it renders even stranger in IE.
And... "coolville"? it works as a name ("ool" and "ill" give it a nice round touch), but your style can have more than coolness to it (given the principle that you know what you're doing).

coolville is based on where i grew up:
coolville, ohio.i realized after i posted the site that it has some errors. i'm fixing and will repost later.

And on a side note, there's a town called Coolville?
Haha, how "cool" is that!?

remove the counter. looks cheap.
remove 'photography' from the main page. it should be in the work section, not a seperate section. and, the type doesn't look good.
how you show your work on the work page is nice, but when you click the work and view it on it's own page, you need a back button to go back to the work. the 'arnold' and 'work' text i know does this, but i wasn't sure until i clicked on them. change the 'arnold' to home and use that throughout to help the user navigate your site better, and replace 'work' with 'back'. also you might want to put a 'next' link below the jpgs so the user doesnt' have to waste the time going bcak to the work, clicking your next piece, then going back again to view another. they can just click next and previous (if you want to put previous on there too) and drill through your work faster.
you have an interesting layout going on, it breaks the norm and you said fuck you to the grid, but i think it works. kinda dark though for a portfolio.
some minor tweeks and i think you have something.

Lose the peripheral graphics and the landing page.

Yeah, general navigation could be more structured:
- My first reaction is to click on the "coolville" postcard.
- I realized I had navigated through half of the site and didn't know your name, then had to go find it
- Only one rollover state works on main page?
- On the tv section, I'd like to see some project descriptions. Did you art direct, shoot, script, composite, produce, etc?
- I'd really like to see larger versions of the print work. A zoom feature/lightbox would be nice. There's solid work in there, it just feels like I'm fighting to see it.
