I will believe that when I look upon Serota's charred and lifeless body, but you have the benefit of the doubt for now.

I'm more upset that Bruce Nauman is in the top ten, i can't stand him/his work/anything to do with him.

ok. i think it's because the thought of designers changing the world either is idiotic (and then we can excuse him for being dumb) or just a clever hype thing to fool all the nice girls into worshipping him (and then we should hang him by his balls)

---------------yea, designers are useless

can't really remember BM's chat, but I agree that designers changing the world is idiotic.
unless you mean in small direct ways, where a designer can change the way a person can interact with their environment. for example the way signage has been revolutionised in teh latter half of the 20th century. I wish some people would stick to being practical and direct about that ambtion sometimes. then it might work, and been shown to work already. and they might not sound like pompous tits.
my 2 cents of stuff that might be completely irrelevent. ;)

And you've never even had to work with the twat...Bruce Mau, the hamburgler of Graphic Design and idol of false worship...
you know he has a stylist on-call 24/7...good grief...

I nearly called my new cat Bruce, but went for Keith instead.
- lowimpakt0
i thought bruce was talking more about product designers, no? the ones who make things....
anyway he's full of cheese

what you said exactly, kelpie. it's nice to be enthusiastical about your own work, knowing its possibilites, influence, etc -- but beyond that -- like changing the world -- is just egomania.
