holy shit (war)
i'm really glad that finally these numbers are coming out,
people in time of war non only die killed by bombs, the collateral damages kills lots more people,
ex: vietnam, etiopia, "i will not dare using the etc"

Time to get out! They are not achieving anything constructive anymore (at all ever?).
I am glad that US presidents can only serve 2 terms...

not to play devils advocate, but i read this morning those numbers came from a house to house survey from households in iraq. not from actual counted bodies.
the actual numbers from counted bodies are reported to be more near 55,000, give or take 3500 they said.
with 80% or whatever of the iraqi people opposed to the war, and you're actually polling those people about the war, wouldn't you fudge the numbers a bit?
if a survey of 100 people in america from their house if they cheated on their taxes how many of the people out of the 100 would actually say 'yes'. not many.
in a way i feel the opposite is true here. they go to a house and interview the household for their number, is that accurate?
i really have to say no.
also. last december it was reported (and you all agreed) that 30,000 had been killed. i'm supposed to believe 620,000 were killed in less than a year? hardly.
all political gunfire right now. don't be fooled.

anok, the thing you don't seem to understand is that people don't only die on the fuckn battle field,
you die from malnutrition, lack of medication, water poisonement, uranium depleted,
it is really shallow and i guess that why you are trying to do the devil advocates, to think that counted deaths are the only deaths,
and fuck yeah i think they should use in time of political turmoil,
is the world a safer place now??

i swear i'm living after this,
WHERE ARE THOSE W.M.Ds??

(Oct 11 06, 14:34)Do you really think that a lot of effort is put into retreiving bodies? When they blow up as many buildings as they do, you can't count them all. The US/Uk can kill with the press of a switch miles away.
The number might not be as high as the report, but I think we can agree that 55,000 is conservative. Let's also consider how many of those were innocent people... and children. Not good. Get out. New plan.

haha. if that same study was done in the united states, the same way, from 2000 to 2006 these are the death rates per year. (the exact way that study was done)
death rate (deaths/1,000 population)
2000-8.7
2001-8.7
2002-8.7
2003-8.44
2004-8.34
2005-8.25so that means americans are living longer under george bush and the war in iraq!?!
that's laughable.

yes k0na, the number has been calculated from samples - researchers say there is no other way to do it because it's too dangerous.
Teams of doctors visited 1,849 households, interviewing 12,800 people in 47 separated clusters across the length and breadth of Iraq - death certificates were produced confirming the cause of death.

WHERE ARE THOSE W.M.Ds??

Here's the objective Lancet editor Richard Horton, author this ghoulish piece of propaganda and of the last discredited "survey" of Iraqi mortality rates. I trust him as an impartial observer.
Don't you?
