Yeah! Been waiting for this album forever.
Not sure what I wanted more when I was in high school--to sing and write like Evan, or to have really cool hair like his.

Anyone see him do "The outdoor type" on 120 Minutes way back when? Dude looked like he'd just put the crack pipe down to play a tune.

IMHO evan is at his best on an accoustic, good and stoned, circa sweet relief album

My Lemonheads story:
I went to see them in Boston when I was in high school at the Avalon (holla!). After the show we were walking out down the street, and two very impaired and dirty homeless guys were pertched on top of some trash in the alley, wielding electric guitars made from cardboard and beer cans, some of which still had beer in them.
There they stood, moving the guitars around in a rock star motion. One them yelled out in a bubbly-burply voice, "The Lemonheads may have quit, but we're still here! Rock on!!" It was awesome, and a small crowd had formed.
We had to loop down that street once we found the car about 30 minutes later. The show went on.

i was fortunate enough to see Evan Dando perform solo in Nashville to a room of about 20 people.
I also saw him at the Middle East upstairs way back and he called the sound guy a f*cker for some very painful feedback but then promptly apologized. He's a good guy and a great songwriter.

when I saw him solo back in the day he was pissed that no one stood up for the openers, the blake babies. He was only wearing a tshirt ( his favorite) and some boxers. I ended up making out with some chick in the first row almost the entire show. I cringe to think of the entire show seeing me and some stranger grinding to emo folk.
