i'd like to share 2 fantastic public radio shows with you.
it would be fantastic if people would share quality podcasts, radio documentaries, google video or youtube shows.

no matter how grim the news is there is something about hes voice that is sooo soothing and sometimes i laugh when it sounds like his dentures are loose or something like a salivating sound fx

(Oct 10 06, 08:36)...and that's why I believe para is cool. because of her countless ties with science and astronomy.

I enjoy Wait Wait Don't Tell Me.
I just want to get the Carl Kassel voice message on my answering machine...by the way, none of my Snakes on a Plane calls made it to my recipients from Sam Jackson...

If you are in Chicago on a thursday night - GO check it out. The live taping is great. Went to the one last thursday.

MY WORD! is terribly entertaining, although I never really understand what is going on. Many NPR stations play reruns of it on Sunday nights.

For This American Life fans, my sweetheart introduced me to Wiretap, Jonathan Goldstein's show for CBC. You used to be able to listen to from "The Future is Yesterday" blog, but CBC requested the podcast be ended so maybe (hopefully) there will be web access for the non-canadian fans of the show someday soon.

I gotta admit Ira Flatow bugs the fuck out of me. I can't really explain why.
- emmaopeel0
I entirely agree... My sweetheart has a hair-stands-up feeling about both Barbara Bogaev and Peter Sagal.
Whenever their shows come on, he silently walks over to the radio and turns it off.

This woman (on fresh air) is even worse. You can almost see her sense of superiority when she starts speaking with that megaexaggerated diction.
