oooh, a gig at the shelter would be rad, on xmas eve or something.
also, surely, any one of the venues that you guys have played at would be more than happy to help out, i'm sure. even the bull + gate or somewhere like that.

I used to play football with big issue vendors, they were greatful for just interacting with people who didn't want something from them.
There are so many 'hidden' homeless' sleeping in B+Bs as well as on mates floors.
I always beleive in a helping hand up rather than a hand out of cash. that only keeps people on the street.

Good skilz Soda, don't get me wrong I don't walk around handing out to everyone asking for cash. I have met and been around enough people in dire situations to be able to be able to tell a genuine case from a smack head looking to score... But yeah your right shit has def been getting worse with more and more people out there needing some help. One of the most grounding things i found where the people just like us that for some reason.. genrally alchol or loss of a loved one or mental illness casued them to lose everything they had and end up on the street. I am telling you a run of bad circumstances to anyone without friends or family to turn to can leave any one of us in there situation just as fast. I met one guy who has slept on the street since his fiance took her life while he was a work. They had just bought a house in Angel he threw the keys inside the house and just walked out never to return...
But enough of the talk time for some action, Kudos to you Vespa for putting words into action... I am sure anyone that has the resoureces or time from NT might be willing to help hell this we could make this into a little NT xmas project... I'm in!

good grief, problem is not in these disperate acts of kindness, I'm all for making the world a better, not bitter, place. Just wish to see people do it right, not referring to you kids, clearly your hearts are in the right place, but the larger 'organisations' that have been fumbling their way towards 'making a difference' clearly they're not using the right tone, manner or tactic.. when will the dreaded marketing saavy individuals infiltrate these do-gooders to have some global resonance?

I've put on gigs in the past in toronto to help wherever I could, done probono design work, but I've seen it's futility as well...

yea xmas eve wouldn't be good for me neeva. but sometime just before then? i think we're playing in liverpool on the 17th and swindon on the 21st
we have a gig on the 15th in camden, i wonder if that could be hi-jacked? not sure as the promoter doesn't seem the charitable type...
