You can't visually depict mojo man. It violates the concept...

erm.. you're not helping.
that's kind of why i'm asking.

And I'm telling you, you're trying to square a circle.
Is this for some trendy Web 2.0 logo or something...?
- Nairn0
i'm agreeing with you!
no, this isn't for some trendy web 2.0 thing. thankfully.
actually, scratch that - that'd be easy - a reflection, a bit of green, purple and hint of voodoo.

when I think of the term 'mojo' I see a white guy co-opting blues music.

that's where my Googling left me - lots of snapshots of commercial-looking, themed blues bars in across america.
it feels like a subverted concept.

this whole subject annoys me.
Ever since Austin Powers the term mojo has had its original meaning changed. It now seems to mean libido when used by most people.
As an avid blues/folk music fan and student for many years, having read lots about the history of blues, I have often read about what a mojo originally was.
Basically it was a good luck charm that a person kept on them at all times. An old superstitious object. It was often a little bag filled with something meaningful, although I read about musicians having a bottle neck slide as their mojo as it bore some significance to them (maybe made them play well).
So the image I think of when I hear the word mojo is an old brass guitar slide however I suppose this kind of image would be a traditional view of a mojo:

lol, me and my friends learned what a 'manilla envelope' was through monkey island. Had never heard of one when we played that. Sounded like a magical object!
