Does n e one in here sell items here?If so do u get a good response and hows the whole ordering process?
- JerseyRaindog0
Well I don't but at every opportunity I get I promote my wife's shop http://www.areathriftyone.com
She's sold a few things now and makes stuff to order as well. What exactly do you mean by the ordering process? When buying? Or to order?

im just interested in the whole process of the thing...i want to build a store, but i dont want it to be complicated to the user and me

Weak, you can't get more than one thing at a time.
What kind of bunk ass shopping cart is this, haha?
- fr0st0
flavorful - how was the whole process for u? pretty painless except for the whole 1 item in cart thing?
- flavorful0
I'll tell you momentarily.

Easy as eBay I guess?
Etsy kind of seems like a shop for a specific nitche where instead of bidding specific prices are set.
And payments via PayPal, however, only one item at a time are simple.
I found only one thing wrong with the whole thing, heh.
- barbtastic0
yeah the one item at a time is kinda annoying, but Jersey's wife adjusted the shipping accordingly after the fact :)

Yea, I'm debating on birds and flowers or the spooky halloween thing for my scissa next.

thanks for the notes flavorful!

I've got a shop at http://limescreen.etsy.com
There really isn't a shopping cart and the buying process is kind of a pain. You have to "buy" the item and then pay for it with your paypal acct. It hasn't stopped me selling a lot of stuff, but for newbies I have to explain it.

i keep looking at the title of this thread thinking it's just a horrilblly mispelled EBay thread.

Hey Barbtastic and Flavorful, just came back to this thread after a short break. Barb, did you buy the bags? And Flavorful, if you did just buy, thanks for the business.
We have a 2 year old boy and the Etsy shop is my wife's way of keeping her creative juices flowing while she stays at home.
She did have a shop on Ebay selling cushions but Ebay is more about people looking for bargains, whereas Etsy is more of a shop. So people expect to pay more realistic prices.
But even so she puts a lot of time and effort in and I keep trying to tell her to up her prices! But she's happy so, I am to.
*padlocks wife to sewing machine and laughs maniacally.

I'll ask her and find out. I'm guessing not as she always tends to buy just enough material for individual projects. But ya never know!
