garett_west16 is the legal consent, but there is some kind of federal law ( i think it's the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act ) that if it's on the internet it's under federal law which makes it 17 or 18.

The point of this thread was that hastert and boehner did nothing about this until it came out in the media. Do you think that this is the type of behavior that should be expected from congressional leadership?
Now you can make all sorts of hypothetical arguments about "what if it were democrats" and I would say that it wouldnt matter to me, it was the wrong thing to do no matter what party. So please stop making it a partisan thing.

Actually it does have some partisan implications, considering that the Republicans play the anti-gay, famliy values card at every turn to pound over the democrats head.
