Doh can't watch this at work but will check it later. Cheers for the thought Bolus! And for the offer of the DVD def worth watching for anyone basically in general just for a bit of an insight as to how other live. Def recommended viewing if anyone you know first hand is Bi-polar as it might explain why they do what they do..

i do wonder whether spending too much time online is bad.
little words in a box from strangers aren't the same as human contact. do y'all speak to your friends much about what's going on in your head?

i do, i guess, but i don't think i'm bi-polar, just slightly depressed sometimes

Jesus Christ, you hit my fucking depression button, bolus - FOOTBALL?!
Honestly - there's not much else that makes me rue the human condition more than watching an entire city or nation fret over 22 overgrown children kick a ball around a field.

oh btw.
i fell in love with this gorgeous looking girl who worked at my fave bar but i did not feel like stepping forward with it...
one night when she was finished working she went along for drinks with some of her friend and invited me.
we had a couple of tequila's and after each one she would kiss me, but more and more sexual after each kiss.
after a while we where close to having sex on the dancefloor and when i saw people staring at us i realised this was getting out of hand.
in the end she just went away without saying but it turned out that she had a much more intense form of bi-polarity then i did. or at least it had even greater effect to her.
some colleague of her told me all about it and suddenly the pieces fell together.
we agreed together, days later, that we had a good time and leave it at that, since it would probably get out of hand.
i heard she has had several occasions in which she hurt herself with sharp objects and shit.. :/

(Oct 2 06, 05:33)right on. this is a VERY good point. i have to balance it. when i am not online i try to go out and talk to people or just take a walk all by myself.
i guess i learned this the hard way.
as of now i need this contact, online it is harder to tire people or hurt them or whatever..

great thread this is btw.
good to get shit out there.
as of lately, i tend to talk easier about this. since my therapist has sort of fanatically emphasized the idea that even though there's a lot of cunts out there who refuse to understand it is still great to be able to talk about this..

in other words, losing your shame is a good thing in a way.

The drugs point is interesting. I've heard people say that smoking pot is good for depression, and I never ever understood that. The only time I ever felt down in myself, was when I was a complete pot head.
Personally, if chemical inbalance is what causes depression, why would doctors treat it with powerfull drugs? That makes no sense either.
