Saw it last night. It spent a lot of time talking about the first few years, but glossed over the later 80's-90's stuff. Well worth the 8 bucks tho.

I thought more lik 1987 or so...I was on the metal side of the metal/hardcore battle when that shit used to matter..now all these young kids are all on about "metalcore"..wouldn't of lasted 30 seconds in a DRI pit...

we used to hang out at a little all-ages club called the crazy horse. i saw fugazi there about seven times before they got too popular for the venue and had to move to the student union.
wow. i had almost forgotten i had a straight-edge phase. can't wait to see this film.

why is it called american hardcore? its mostly good punk bands when i think american hardcore i think GB youth of today judge chain of strength project X late 80's early 90's the bands in the move are still awsome but the title is a little off i think.....

(Oct 5 06, 12:17)I suppose the technically you're right. It ended in the early 80's. However some of hardcore the bands I like the most were much later. Refused for example. But by your definition they weren't hardcore. Neither were they american...so who knows, it's really just semantics. In any case I recommend the movie.
