Have a memory intensive flash intro that I want to export to quicktime mov.

A lot of the animation is script controlled so cannot export from flash.

also when using a variety of Screencapture software the results are clunky and slow, even with a powerful computer its skipping loads of frames.

Is it possible to output from the monitor directoy to a camera or some kind of recording device? That way bypassing memory problems.

the only solution I have found so far is to record a monitor with the camera pointed at it, the results are shoddy.

    Any ideas?

Ick, I think you might be screwed there. I was gonna say screen capture stuff at first, but you say it isn't working.

The only I can think of, since I ;ve battled this before, is to try and publish to web, and then capture from a higher end machine? That is, assuming you aren't working from an extremely high end one now. Or find a machine with a heavy graphcs card, and then screen capture.

Good luck, this is why I don't use script animation anymore if i don't have to.

Not sure if you a familiar with the director method but if you have director you can import the swf and allow as many frames as you need in director and then export from from there. Basically director will take a shot of every frame and export it. Learned this one from good ol' Joshua Davis. Works like a charm. I am surprised your screen capture apps are not doing a good job though. I use snapx pro on mac for this type of thing all the time and I get good frame rates.
