i've been trying to try out some older drinks the past few years, really like highballs (whiskey/bourbon with ginger ale, what acescence said) and old fashioneds (whiskey with bitters and lime).

i'm for the most part a beer drinker but i must say a shot of good tequila is a treat. there are even some damn nice sipping tequilas, but they'll cost ya.

I like The Withnail and I drinking game. Its a great cure for life.
The Withnail and I drinking game is played while watching the film and involves matching the title character drink for drink.
I know of no one who’s ever been able to make it, and it does take some preparing. They estimate that Withnail drinks in the order of 9 1/2 glasses of red wine, 1 pint of cider, 1 shot of lighter fluid, 2 1/2 shots of gin, 6 glasses of sherry, 13 whiskeys and 1/2 a pint of ale.
Good for what ails ya! You'll wake up two days later in the emerbency room and feel SO much better.
