is anybody using opentype?

i use it all the time.

yeah, all the cs2 apps take advantage of opentype, however, quark 7 i believe has some sort of bug with certain opentype apps in which when printed they default to courier.
it really all depends on how the charaters are mapped to opentype as afar as which character sets you'll have access too without opentype support.
for example, i have bello pro from underware, and there is an entirely different typeface in the small caps option under opentype.

usually the opentype price is comparable to purchasing all the character sets in the tt/ps versions.
go opentype if you can, it's definitely worth it.

sorry for my denseness but, if I buy the opentype version, will I have access to Zaner one, two, three and four and extras (what you would get in the non-pro version) in non opentype applications?

i'm not for sure, but i would think so. that's the main benefit of opentype, the availability of a huge assortment of different typestyle, in one font, that's cross platform.
