Nic... your total acreage for WB is off by just over 1,100 acres.

(Sep 18 06, 14:36)honestly you need a full season w/ pass to really know Whistler or Blackcomb.
x2 seasons if you want them both.

I lived in Whistler for 4 seasons straight and I still find shit I didn't know about.

i seriously love that place. epic run #2 of all time for madirish=
watching sunset at top of whistler w/ avalanche crew after mountain had closed. then having them 'challenge' us to what was basically an all-out, *all-out* straight shoot race from top-to-bottom, sans rest. started above cloud and tree line, down into and through the clouds, through where it was snowing, down into the fog, through where it was raining mid-mountain, down into the crust, through the dark shadows and finally into the sunlight of sunset traces in the village.
epic.
i thought the stoke could not get any better until i topped out at about ~100kph and the patroller kept yelling "rip it harder man!! rip it!!" and then went maching over this roller where we all (in pace line mind you) probably got 40 feet of horizontal.
i had chills after that run. they were so cool to us and were stoked we knew what we were doing.

Sounds like an epic peak to creek run madirish... I love doing that. Ripping down the Dave Murray Downhill at reckless speeds is amazing!

totally.
i was so amped that i honestly didn't even feel any sort of tired but at the bottom..... collapsed. well, after they had beers at our condo there on the ski-right side just before the gondola. :)
