Ok, i'm sure that a lot of people get this, but i can't believe i have a dead or stuck pixel only a few weeks after getting my mac book pro. it's a red pixel pretty much in the centre of the screen.
Anyone know how i could get rid of it? i've heard about massaging it, but how the hell can you massage one pixel!!??

i've heard you can gently rub the area with your fingertip and it *may* go away, though possibly only temporarily.
i think apple's policy on dead pixels is >5 and within a maximum distance from eachother, so you may be screwed on replacement, though it's always worth going for the "silencer" replacement, ie, the "we will give you a new macbook if you will leave us alone already" replacement.

buy a bunch of first person shooters and use it as a super precise aiming device.
