what type of a name is that. sounds offensive to me.
The logos OK looks like any other contemporary logo produced.
The tag line sucks though
Sorry

I agree that its not the best choice of words.
I think you took a font and added an orange circle in the middle?
The tagline type doesnt work well with the logotype at all I think.

it'd be good to see it used in context - I quite like it, though - but like the others I'm literally sitting here, fretting about the tag line, which isn't doing it for me.
two issues - I wonder whether it might date easily, and (again, imo - I'm not a typophile -) the letter spacing seems a little wide - especially on the latter letters.

a lot of unstability and movement in the characters so with some refinement it could work. bad tagline and I wouldn't use all caps helvetica light spanning the whole width of the logo. try lowercase and if it will still be legible when reduced, bring it up and have it run from the 'p' to the stem of the 'd'...

dot your Is fix your decenders and kerning and two things about the tagline .. i don't get it and it doesn't sit well in the layout
great job! :)

maybe cut the g descender to mirror the p, and play around with the positioning of the tagline

the I's need to be a tadbit shorter, or have the curves of the other letters end up higher. if you dot the I it should be shorter anyway.. is not really balanced now.
and what snuggles said, the tagline needs to be a bit heavier and is probably more fitting in lowercase..

balance the kerning in pidgit. keep the rest.

Thank you all for your input
Dancer-why does the name sound offensive? I see you are from England and perhaps there is some cutural reference I have missed. I would really appreciate if you would elaborate on your comment, the only point of the name was to be short and memorable, no offense intended.
Im not sure if the tag line will stay, but its from a quote about education
“If nine-tenths of the energy at present directed towards making the child learn certain things were spent in seeing to it that the child was forming proper images, the work of instruction would be indefinitely facilitated.”
John Dewey
I am going ot work on the other suggestions and Ill repost.
Thanks again for any input.

it doesn't really rely on any type of positve/negative relationship, it seems to be more about color. that being said, it appears kind of arbitrary to color the counter. the shape itself is also arbitrary. why not draw the letters youself geometrically rather than use an oddly shaped oval as the focal point?
what does it mean?
how does it relate to the learning process?

probably didn't need to be stated again, but i came in late.
- not_report0
probably already mentioned but it sure needs kerning

don't you guys know that logos are created quickly, for little money, for people who don't know the difference?
