Any cool places to work there? Big names, semi big names? for web design/programming.
thanks in advance

Chicago is not called, "The Windy City", for it's wind.
In actuality, it was dubbed to describe their politicians as "Blowing a lot of wind."
Other origins have been because of their long windedness to attempt to host the World's Fair by an NYC journalist, as well as actual wind which help quell the Great Chicago Fire.

(Sep 5 06, 08:07)when you get here let me know and i'll get you in touch with her. not sure what your skills are but she said the market for an in-house designer with coding skills has gone through the roof lately. i'm full-time though so i told her i'd keep my ears open for anyone looking.
i'll get you in touch with her for sure. she's very good.

(Sep 5 06, 08:15)if there are no stairs and you supply me with no less than 2 cases of beer i'll help you move.

Haha, i do believe this would have to be one of those "sell-all-your-shit-take-only-co... type moves. Oh and probably some clothes. I love adventure. And i've found that after about a case-and-a-half of beer you hit that diminishing returns point, but it's a nice goal to be sure =]

Looks like I'll have to move to Tinley Park and endure train rides everyday to the city (assuming I can find a job)

MikeD, you shouldnt have any problem getting work. Your portfolio looks great. Freelance work has been seeping across the state line into my city a lot lately. Also, all of the job boards are just loaded with positions. Im doing things for banks and realty companies in Chi from 90 miles north.
