I'm looking at booking a week in Andorra for the beginning of Jan 07'. Has anyone been, and can you tell me if there is much snow at that time of year? Cheers - I know it's still a while away!

do they not have a snow report for the area or even a website with their own snow report?

sorry.. didn't read you were going in 07

Yeah I've been to Andorra.
S'alright. Not as good as the Alps, but depends what you'r after. Its pretty small which gives it a mellow feel. Nothings HUGE in terms of riding.
I checked it all out in the week I was there (was writing a snow guide report) and heres what I remember.
Arcalis/Pal - Small, but fun. Mellow parl.
Arcalis - best day we had there - a locals resort so next to nothing in terms of bars/food but empty pistes all day.
Soldeu - Party town. Part of Grand Valira which means you can link alot more stuff up. Plenty of parks, from tiny to pretty big...

Hey doddster thanks heaps for the info! I'm aware it's not as good as the alps, but we're going to party it up so Soldeu sounds like the spot... Do you know if they have much snow early January?

I think it was the 2nd week of Jan we went and it was fine.
Check this for more info - you could always email them. they're aware they're not a massive place so are super helpful.
Oh and we went to the adventure school thing one day - did avalanche rescue, skidooing and husky racing. Highly recommended.
Not sure if Albert is still in charge of freestyle but he's always up for a party if hes around...

I went to Soldeu for my first snowboard trip many years ago, vodka and coke was about a quid and 3/4 vodka to 1/4 coke. Everything else seemed to be bargain prices too. I highly recommend it.
