I think in today's society, people still discriminate against homosexuals by using the fag word a lot. Plus, gay's can't marry in some states. If I was gay, I woudn't tell people because of the discrimination I would face.

lliving in south beach i have come to realize how important are fags in society... they clean up wherever they go... do cool little gardens everywhere always have hot female freidns and the more gays out there the more girls for me..... and they are dumb if they wanna get married.... it would be just a goverment gimmick.... i mean can you imagine how many divorces would go through court

What's it like being gay? Not that different from being straight, me thinks. Concerning the discrimination, I am lucky living in one of the most gay-friendly nations in the world, Belgium (together with Denmark, Netherlands and Spain the only countries in the world where gays can marry and adopt children). But this doesn't mean that there is no discrimination. Mostly by people who are be scared by something they don't know (but that's a global tendency, not?).
