Hi all. I do flash (karate) so-so. The only thing that i don't really know how to do is organize large projects in a professional standard. I bought a book, the Flash MX HOT book, but i know how to make buttons and i know what a movie clip is.
Are there any instructions or online methods on professional standards of organization? is this a dumb question?

sorry about the i know karate so-so. i had to put a context for how well i know flash and the only thing that came to mind was when mr. Miagi told Daniel that he knew karate so-so.

but no, i've found many people organize their project files in different ways. are you asking on how they organize their timelines and libraries in flash, or how they organize the fla's/swf's and any external data sources and such?

like external movies. Like do people keep everything in the same scene but load different timeframe markers, ala director? do people just call different scenes? or do people save and load different swf's positioning them somehow?
If someone would volunteer to help me out i can show them my jpg designs and they can suggest a method of structure and organization.

i'd suggest against working with scenes at all first off. if you want to load movies, just load them externally and then position them once loaded (or load them into a blank movie clip that's already positioned where it needs to be on stage).
blankMc.loadMovie('somemovie.swf...
blankMc._x = 200
blankMc._y = 100or something

I'd happily exchange some advice for some Super_Risotto or some Super_Biscuits. . . .
I'm kidding, I suck with Flash. Cooking and baking are a different story. I'm gonna go make some biscuits.
