Well, not quite.... However, I'm looking to see peoples thoughts when it comes to matching a typeface style to an era, and not the year it was conceived.
So, if I said 1976 - what would you say? On the flip side, what would you say is the typeface of 2006?

I'm not sure about 1976 (did they even, like, HAVE graphic design back in like, the Seventies and that LOL LOL effing LOL!).........ahem....but for 2006, EVERYONE is secretly using Courier Sans. We're all at it....Lineto make the world go round these days.

Helvetica:
Timeless? yes.
Loved by many - yes.
Hated? Yes.
Iconic of one era - perhaps.
Iconic to many eras - perhaps.Plus, it's an easy answer! :)

Who said Bitmapped? Perhaps the early part of this decade - maybe 2002? Not 2006 though.
Gramme... you were on the money!
