anyone here use http://lynda.com/ ? Looks like a great tool for someone like me that has let web skills gather much dust. Is it worth the bucks?

We used to have a subscription at a company I worked for. They have a ton of good content but I never really made the time to sit and watch it.
If you have time to watch it, then get it.

I subscribe to their basic monthly package and think it's brilliant. Already picked up Dreamweaver, Actionscript 3 and Flex, and giving myself a refresher course on Flash 8 as we speak.
Highly recommended.

Good to hear it. You can always unsubscribe from it too.
To get the most out of it, make sure you follow along with the videos with the app open. Don't expect to be able to pick stuff up just watching videos without following along. You'll end up brain dead!
Have fun.

I concur, just get the Basic
and do follow along.

Can the videos be downloaded?

it depends on the app. for example web apps are good but for After effects I'd choose total training, even phottoshop is better by TT. A cuople Lynda instrucctors are very average or just plain bad. Just maybe download a sample before you have to spend a whole dvd with an instructor you dont like.
