gooood morning – yeah, there are definitely some issues that I'm working on tightening up - better/advanced searching, more direct keyword fields (especially the sector/industry).
the diff. between this and Brands of the World is in the keyword data. Designers post logos, with smart design-related keywords that other designers would like to be able to reference in their research. I'm not worried about making .eps downloads available either. just good visual info with intelligent keyword data for designers.

very nice!
would be even better if you could download an .eps file of the logos
also when browsing I could a little more logos on each page, so the option how many logos you want on each page (8, 16, 32, 64 etc ) would be good.

Thanks republik8.
Have you posted any?

Not just yet, might get chance over the next few days.
I'm thinking of setting up my own archive site like this with all the functionality i'd like to see in BrandsOfTheWorld, Identity Archives etc.

good idea
there needs to be some kind of quality control imo, I can see this getting pages and pages of utter shite very quickly.

this might have been asked but how is it different to http://www.brandsoftheworld.com ?
nice site and there seems to be plenty of room in the logo-search arena for sites like yrs blastofv

A counter showing how many logo's are in the database would also be handy.

On still think on submission the designer need to select (maybe from a drop down box) the clients company sector. At present it rely's on the person submitting to include it in the keywords.
This would be useful if you have a project and are searching for inspiration by looking at logo's created for clients in the same sector.

maybe there should be option that when you have searched some keyword and there are many results, then rollover images and see some info, and when clicking on them, see the full info (and maybe also keywords entered by the author?)

No use for me at work.
The images are .PNG which are blocked by our Firewall.

this might turn into a fantastic resource for designers, keep it up, blastofv!

yep, I thought there was nothing keyword-searchable at all, then I found the logolounge database. but like you said, it's like $100 a year just to search/submit.
Mines is free, and doesn't even bother you with registration.

logolounge.com has the same feature where you can search their logodatabase with keywords. Dig difference is that it isn't free.
