I was listening to tom hartmann today and he was talking about bush calling terrorists; "islamo-fascists" and how incorrect that whole term is.
Fascism is the line being pulled out between governmental and corporate interests.
That is not at all what is going on with this.

I agree - I think the term islamofascists is misplaced.
The whole thing I think is a religious civil war between factions of Islam. Osama hit us on 9/11 to show how powerful he was within the context of Islam, to gain converts to his ideas of a renews pan-arab Caliphate.
The West is the backdrop of huge internecine Islamic warfare, just as the Holy Land was for the West in the Middle Ages....

Dude, you made a great point the other day. I'm really tired of arguing with people who don;t really want to change things. I'll argue with someone all day about how we should go about getting around to solving the problem, but if you're not really interested in solving the problem and you argue to prolong the debate to score ego points, what's the point man..and it seems that's where we've gotten ourselves poltically in the country. People have forgotten what it means to be an American, too busy arguing about Democrat this, republican that...

totally, and it is all about "republicans" admitting this shit was a mistake and doing what it takes to solve it. I am no General, but when you have politicized the generals this is a black hole of bullshit.
I remember reagan "average joe" republicans and they were like libertarians in contrast to today's republican. All they cared about were taxes. In reality, not much has changed in that regard, except for this macho chest-pounding bullshit.
I blame Rush Limbaugh almost entirely for making 10 million armchair cowboys.
