woops sorry folks, looks like the DNS hasn't propagated yet or something:

very nice work – the iterations are cool, although very very similar. The subtlety works though. But what's up with the main mark? LP + blotches? Will it be used like that ever? A bit confusing to me.
- blastofv0
LP should be IP – sorry. So is this done and approved?

i would have shortened the i just a hair so the top of the dot was even with the P.
everything is well in order though. nice work.

No, it's not done or approved. Sorry if the guide isn't clear, but the main mark is supposed to contain both the "ip" and blobby thing together in all cases. Not with a plus or seperated like that. I just did that to show how it was constructed.
The blobby thing is intended to signify a cell or a drop of blood (without looking gory)...

Not a big fan of that magenta. Otherwise it looks great. Got a great scientific feel...

Very nice, the random generator concept works well with the subject matter (that it represents a cell).
I would maybe look at the application it looks a little large in some instances. I think it might look cooler if it had a lot of white space around it to give it more of a lab feel.
My two cents.
Very nice work though.

I like it--can you print that on a t shirt?
somewhat similar idea to Brooklyn Museum logo
- DeviceUnseen0
I like it.
I second adding the spacial specifications. I don't like a few of your usage examples - bottle, t-shirt, letterhead. The logo looks slapped on there. I think that the logo has enough energy/visual weight to stand out at smaller sizes.
Also, in your lock up, could "in complex biological systems" be in a smaller point size. It seems very wordy and hard to hard to read.

I like the blob- reminds me of all thos efilters checking for pH values etc- so, for me , suggests lab and the echo of blood is there too. I wonder whether "IP" is bothersome. I just saw the Chappelle clip Point 5 posted on goodvu=ibes thread and scientists tend to be literal. Not sure they can deal with the inevitable snickers. Juvenile, sure but as shown unavoidable.
