I am trying to accomplished something in flash, I've seen on several sites around.
The thing is, when you click somewhere (lets say a button), it brings the info related to that button and darkens out the rest of the page, so you can not click on anything else.
And to go back to normal, you can just click outside the box with the info.Some body can give me a hand?. I will try to find some example.
Thanks guys.

That's probably done with tell targets and movieclips.

So far, I can load a swf with a black box at 50% alpha, on top of everything, but it does not stop the actions of the other buttons behind the box.
Maaaaan :(

simple solution:
1. if you have the black box open, set a variable on the root as "shadowed=true"
2. on every button, do a condition for that var ,like
if (shadowed==true) link!
else nolink!clear?

on (release) {
mybutton.enabled = false;
}

If you are still using tellTarget...wow. You need to wake up and upgrade to Flash 4.
Add your buttons to an array.
Loop through the array of buttons, and set every button's _enabled property equal to false;

name the instance of your black box, and create a null function.
coverBox.onRelease = function(){
useHandCursor = false;
}

set the enabled property of the buttons to turn them off - except for one ones you want active, you could also use the alpha property to make the movielip holding th button looked greyed out

I would also suggest making a function that will set all the buttons.enabled = false and toggle to true when you come back and undarken the whole deal.
