I thought you said yesterday that this guy got it as a gift and didn't want it. hmmmm.

did CC let you return it?!

I just got Dead Rising and can't read the text on the screen for the life of me. It's beyond small and blurry. I have no idea what to do in the game because of it. They're designing for hi def screens and hi def screens only.

Well the guy didn't want it because it didn't work with his projector.
Anyway, CC wouldn't take it back. Apparently the guy game me the wrong receipt, so obviously this is a CL exchange gone bad. But it is a new unit, and I called MS to find out what I can do.
They said I'm under warranty and they'll send me a box to ship it back in. I should get it back in about 2 weeks (hopefully less).
The guy I bought it from is "away" and can't find the original receipt. F'in pissed. But whatever, it was a new unit, and it's now registered in my name so they'll be fixing it up soon.
And I downloaded the Dead Rising demo, and yea, the text is way to small to read. I'm on a Sony Wega (not HD) and I can'r read a word. But the game is fun and addicting as hell.

why would he buy it, open it, return it for a new one, and sell the new one to you for less than he paid for it new?
try keeping it horizontal too if you haven't already, it has a habit of scratching discs if kept upright, or if you bump it while playing.

So Xbox is gonna mail your a box so you can mail it back?

Yup. Apparently since this happens so much with the 360, they mail you a prepaid box, you send your main unit back, and they ship it back. I don't pay a cent.
Apparently this guy bought one, opened it up, tried to set it up with is projector but when he went to return it they told him he could only exchange it, so he figured he'd sell a brand new unopened unit as opposed to the one he bought. At this point I think he's BSing, but MS is taking care of it, so I'm a little happier now.

(Aug 11 06, 13:41)Really? I've read both...some people say vert, some say horizontal. But I'm not anywhere near it when using it (wireless controls) but I won't be bumping it.
But if it scratches disks, then once I get it back I'll keep it horizontal.
