For all you freelancers...how do you keep track of your invoices, income reciepts etc...is there a program that is designer friendly and...fairly inexpensive that any of you kind people could recommend?

keep all your receipts, invoices, timesheets and send it all to an accountant who has a dark side. the evil ones help you with tax better. It helps if you give them weed.

I record all my hrs down on iCal including the Job No, paid, etc. then use the spotlight search bit to look up jobs etc
Then any spare time waiting on me mates to phone me to go out to go through and file the weeks invoices, receipts.

I use my head to keep track of invoices, I generally only have 2/3 out at once and I know when they are due because I have the date in my diary.
What mirro ball says sounds like a good idea though

Ical is awesome...i'm a horrible memorizer I forget things ALLL the time so my head won't work well. I'll try the ical thing for a while and see how that goes, and the file system.

copper project
it isn't so inexpensive, but it does what your asking for and a bit more. plus, it's web-based so your not tied down to a single computer.

I keep a folder on my desktop called 'outstanding invoices'. When invoices have been received, I files them into a folder called 'paid'. Tally paid at the end of the year.
And save every receipt.
