I'm trying to import two xml objects into a single SWF. I've also tried to import a second swf with the 2nd xml object. Neither seems to work and display the second xml data.
Is there a trick to this or am I just a big xml nOOb.

flash does have a problem with multiple sendAndLoads. Are you just trying to load them?
It doesn't sound like your doing something flash shouldn't do.

just load, Basically one xml populates a image mc and some text boxes. the second xml just loads a list of links.
thanks for your help

That's weird - I have been having pretty much the same problem with loading multiple xml files to 3 different swf's...been googling for a while but nothing yet...

make sure they are in different functions
So one load for each xml object
If your trying to push 2 xml loads into the same object, i don't think that would work. but maybe it would, but i would guess it clears the object

jevad, i've talk to adobe about this problem. Here's what they said:
"I have actually played around with it more and have been able to reproduce the issue, but only when 3 or more requests have been made. I originally only used 2, one delayed and one with an immediate response.
That did not seem to have any problem. However, when I tried again later using 3 requests, after the 3rd request I noticed that the immediate response had to wait until one of the other two requests completed
before its results were returned. I used two tests, one using ColdFusion and another with Apache/PHP, both with the same results. What I'm going to do now is see if I can try and dig up any
documentation on the subject. If I can't find anything, I'll bring it to the attention to the engineers and see if they have anything to add and/or if they have any non-server-based workarounds.Answer from engineer: "its a fact of life"
We are using sendAndLoad. But load may have similiar bottlenecks.

frustrating innit?

thanks all, got it sorted. Just a xml nOOb really.

What was the problem, and how did you sort it? It might save someone else some time.

i had this same issue a while back. worked great on my LAMP host but borked when it went up on the clients coldfusion/IIS server. I got it to work by moving the xml files away from the same directory. one's now in the root and one's in a directory named xml, while another lies in even another directory. weird, but it worked. took forever to figure out too.

mine was a path issue with a duplicating MC, not really a flash or xml problem.
yeah I'm a dork
