this is totally driving me nuts. maybe anyone on here had the same kinda problem working with indesign.
layed out an entire design concept in indesign using house industries release as the headline font. thing has to go to the printers asap.
indesign and all other adobe apps won't recognize said font anymore. took all the measures to sort out that problem like reinstalling the font, trying different font apps. and going through all of this (and more).

still no cure.
anyone ???

Have you had someone else try to open it on their computer? What type of font is it? Postscript? Open Type? True Type (Oh-oh!)
Try exporting the pages out of InDesign as .eps and open them with Illy. Just trying to narrow down exactly what the problem is.
Also, try using the font in a new doc in quark if you have that program available. Might help to see what is going on there.

post script. font works fine in all other apps. can use it in flash etc. it's just all adobe apps where it won't show up in the menue.

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer.
Fonts are voodoo.
I have one font that gets all the spaces stripped out, but only in Flash

everything worked well so far. it went all downhill this afternoon. but no updates, installs or anything. damn.

Try saving the pages out as .eps. I know this isnt what you want to hear, but you might have to build it as linked .eps if you dont have a chance to rebuild it in Quark. Also, try dropping the font into all of OSX's font libraries. That kinda "forces" the font.

try rebuilding your font caches
something free like Onyx or MainMenu will do it for you, or you can google it, and do it by hand (mouse)
also, have you tried contacting House? Maybe they can send you new font files if yours are corrupt.

Did you contact House? One of the great things about buying from a reputable foundry is that you get free support.

yeah, will do that. dude, this sucks. never had it. thank you all ...

Try this - open your doc with the dodgy font all pinked out like it's not installed > open a new doc > create a text box and type something > change it to your required font > if that's OK, then drag and drop all your pages from your old doc onto the new one > should be ok now?!
