Have just finished putting together a Flash front end for my site. It's virtually all Actionscript.

The source code is here

Some feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The interactive work looks interesting, however I think the site could do with some more design elements. It does sort of look like it was all done in action script... but maybe thats the point right?...
For instance the back and forward arrows are just plain nasty. Some of the keyline boxes could also do with being lined up better.

(Aug 7 06, 05:35)That's a little odd. I may have to have a chat with my ISP. Does a www one work?

I admit there's a lack of design elements but I did a fine art course. I'll fix those direction arrows. What's a keyline?

I think the design is outright nasty... Your AS is probably top notch, but you should probably get someone to guide you with fonts and the rest of it...

(Aug 7 06, 07:42)easy to navigate, tough to look at. Just find a designerly friend to hook you up with some aesthetics and you'll be solid gold.

Guess I'm a little harsh. Yes - the structure and function is fine, but it looks like a terminator without the skin.
er.. if you catch my drift.

st33d,
A keyline is a very thin line or box that surrounds text or pictures. On your website I mean the lines that surround the links on the left and the text and image sections of your portfolio.
They could just line up a bit better, and look as if they are based on a grid. Imagine that there are invisible lines dividing up the website that esure that all elements are the same space apart etc.
If you want some guides or even a hand with the design let me know. It wouldn't take long to give it a bit of funk juice!

Sorry I crawled up your ass kon.

Sorry for deep resurrection - I lost internet for a week.
I think the problem is that it DOESN'T look like a terminator with the skin off when it should. There's ton's of crap I could get being drawn based on all those numbers but since I was learning on the fly I settled for the bare minimum.
The AS is pretty awful - I should have extended all those raising buttons from one reliable super class.
The keyline thing I think could be solved by getting all those elements to shove at each other (personal space stylee), would mean half a second of visual jazz after each click.
Thanks for the feedback. When I have a home and a job I'll rebuild.

You've got some hotspot issues on the buttons. When you mouse over the bottom edge, button freaks out a little it. From my experience, this come from animating or moving the hotspot, so I'd watch that.
Besides that, the site works well, but like everyone else said, the aesthetics aren't working. Sorry to say, but you need more then font help.

After some refreshment, after some refreshment. Do you understand what I mean by this? This is the first breath after the most succulent morsel of your steak tar tar. Take that feeling and turn that into a website, all of your sense are heightened and not a single sense surpasses the others. It is a blur of emotion and sensation; I would say this site is that. This site is beyond presentation to a new field of authenticity and reflection. I however would like to see some beveled pixel fonts and reflected objects, but other than that, it is wonderful.
