i love interpol. but on meeting the band it was clear theyre just a rocknroll cliche - well into their cocaine, viagra and groupies. it was really disappointing as i thought that they would be a bit smarter and bit different.

As long as they aren't hurting anyone I couldn't care for the exploits of the band. Just like Al Greene he sung some sweet assed songs but the man before he found god was far from well behaved.

lots of people seem to like the editors at the moment ... i cant seem to find a reason WHY to like them doesnt sound different/catchy and doesnt move me in the slightest.

thing is though vespa it's difficult to draw a line as people nowadays are desperate to listen to new music none more so than yourself, in years gone by bob dylan would have had three perhaps four versions of his song performed by different bands all in the charts at the same time... the man confessed once as he was sucha prolific song writer that he heard one version of a song he wrote and said man thats a good tune and his pals said you should say that as it's one of yours :/ :D

Saw the Editors in Brixton, very good. Quite a down to earth band. Fairly minimal stage set up.

incredibly unimpressed by editors at a show earlier this year
interpol is better by far, their music and lyrics are incredible and though not very animated, theyre great live.

yea..like every editors song is a copy of interpol. interpol beat them by 4 years. one song sounds exactly like obstacle 1. fucking lame.

Interpol hands down.
Joy Division hands downer, haha.
Interpol is really great though, for some reason I can't really get into the Editors even though they are very similar.
