... yikes.

Their models are hotter.
- MLP0
that they are...

If I saw anyone wearing one of these shirts I would kick them down a flight of stairs.
- mrdobolina0
why does every asshole think they cancharge 24 bucks for their shitty t-shirts these days?
I blame american apparel. they're taking jobs away from nicaraguans.
- PonyBoy0
i think their models were photos that they shopped the designs on to... some of them look... questionable.
...not to mention... the designs are mediocre / rehashed /non-clever and 'lame' at that.
- mrdobolina0
also, ironic t-shirts are no longer ironic.

I think the reason the prices are jacked up is because I've seen these shirts on other sites and this is probably a middle man site.
...
Never thought I'd see that happen with t-shirts like this.

if tees are good enough, i say $25 is cool, but those have become few and far between.
i love rockers nyc, but their retail is $45 (!?!)

man when I used to run the screen printing business, it was the double-up rule. If I could print you a shirt for 5 bucks, you wholesale charged the retailer 10, then the retailer sold them for 20. With the internet it all went out the window and everyone followed through with it. manufacturers charging 20 dollars for a shirt.
Its a fucking t-shirt!
- MLP0
what manufacturers are charging that? redic. every place i've quoted at lately has still been around $6-7 for a 2 color dark shirt

nah I mean people that make their own shit and sell it online. honestly (except for AA, and dont get me started on how much of a ripoff that is) wholesale prices on cotton t-shirts have remained relatively static for the past ten years. But the price of finished product has doubled everywhere.
- PonyBoy0
I think every one of you should spend the money on these shirts... specifically the one entitled 'elliot's new friend'...
:)

even though i love AA's shirts, i would never pay $15 for a plain tee. i'll rock them all day long though when i get them for 75% off or free.
in most cases all these smaller joints are DIY, so they're cutting out the wholesaler, and in some case screening tees themselves. maybe that's just smart business, cut out the middle man and put more paper in the bank.
- mrdobolina0
right on. glad I can hook you up, sir.
- mrdobolina0
I understand that, but I printed many shirts for people and it is just greedy charging 24 bucks a shirt without a retail store as an overhead cost. these things wholesale are like 3 bucks, unless you go AA which is just a joke, the quality of the shirts is just not there. People may say "I like the lightweight shirts" or whatever but you are paying for cotton and cut and sew. american workers make the cost of cut and sew higher but the cotton is bullshit.
