Is second hand Adobe software legit? I see nice options sometimes, like CS suite coming with some slightly dated hardware. Are original cds enough to be covered? Or should I have original receipts and the software has to be unregistered?

I would say that the software has to be unregistered, but if you buy say ps 4 and want to upgrade to ps CS2 I dont think you can do that, you have to make an upgrade from 2 versions before. for example from ps 4 to 6 but ps3 wont upgrade to 6 and so forth.
I would say that for runing a legit business the best thing would be to buy your software directly from the company, if you are using the software for learning and stuff then you should be ok with buying second hand...

Then there's the issue of US software being legit in Europe..

i'm definitely for running a legit business, but was always curious... unless you're large is there ever instances of adobe anyone else auditing your software?

This is very interesting, you can use student versions of the software professionally even after you graduate, and then upgrade to full licence when the new version arrives!

i went to check the prices in Ebay for software and some suites are selling for under 50 bucks. I checked one of the sellers and they had bad reviews for selling pirated sofware. That is the risk you will have in Ebay

I don't think it's a risk when you see software that normally retails for hundreds or even thousands of pounds being sold for ten bucks.
It's about as plain as the nose on your face that you're either going to get a dodgy copy or nothing at all.

yeah, still some software is selling for the regular price in ebay.
