I thought the day "fate pulled a fate" was officially the most bummed out PVN day ever.

Is it a Sheltie?

(Jul 24 06, 14:52)That's the one. They look like humiliated collies to me.

you could really balance out your karma with the cat by getting a dog from a shelter rather than an inbred pure bred.
oh...and you'll go a long way with your fiance if house training isn't one of her new tasks. ;)

gramme... you lose power over the last few days?
My buddy JUST got his back on this morning... been 4 days.
... I miss st. louis.. :(

(Jul 24 06, 15:46)haha
We didn't lose power at home or at the office, but it seems everybody else did. My fiancee's dad's office just got power back. I think something like 500 k people lost power. Coming from the East Coast, I can't believe how much the whole thing paralyzed this area.

sorry for adding to your stress. i have found so many abandoned animals over the years and volunteered with rescue groups and I've seen how people move on and leave animals behind, it's just very sad...I just think I'd put all plans on hold, personally, and find a place to stay until i found my cat because it's more likely the cat would respond to her voice than to anyone else... But i hope your girlfriend finds her cat, sounds like she is trying to do so.

haha, gramme goes postal...
- gramme0
wait a sec, is she actually going to leave without finding the cat? i can't imagine doing that, sorry. i've moved plenty of times and i know the stress, but she should stay & post flyers, contact the humane society, and check with all the neighbors before you just move on to a puppy without a second thought. no sympathy here.

(Jul 24 06, 14:45)That's a lot of assumptions there!
1. Yes, she has to leave as someone is moving into her apartment and she has a job interview here on Wednesday.
2. She has already made/posted fliers, which is why she left jsut now instead of six hours ago.
3. She has friends in her apartment complex who will keep looking for the cat.
4. We're not 'moving on to a puppy without a second thought'. We were planning on getting a dog eventually, and we'll keep hoping the cat turns up.
Geez, tough crowd...and for the record, I hate cats but love my fiancee. So I'm bummed for her sake. Last time I'll ever post something like this.
