What part of Gore's presentation is wrong? He's basically tying the fact of global warming to human behaviour/industry. There's tons of research that supports that observation.

Even if there is a slight chance it could all be true (and there is plenty of evidence that it is) why not change your ways?
or you could just keep living the dream i guess?

The Weather makers by Tim Flannery
Factual, historical and accurate evidence by a scientist and writer, not a celebrity. Read it.

Much of it is sensationalism to advance the liberal cause, Mimio. Many people are skeptical of humans causing Global Warming:

oh and another solution yet.... damn today im full of uplifting post's

Nice Discipler, interesting how your sources always seem to come from the same place. Must be such a well respected objective repository of information. Always love when people cite Michael Crichton as an authority too. Lovely stuff.

Liberalism?
to act onglobal warming we need progress and action, hardly cnservatism/liberalism?

what the fuck is a liberal cause?

Mimio:
Crichton's VERY MUCH an authority...
...so he writes fiction... so what? He graduated from Harv. Med. School... aw, fuck it - read his credentials below:
CRICHTON, (John) Michael. American. Born in Chicago, Illinois, October 23, 1942. Educated at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, A.B. (summa cum laude) 1964 (Phi Beta Kappa). Henry Russell Shaw Travelling Fellow, 1964-65. Visiting Lecturer in Anthropology at Cambridge University, England, 1965. Graduated Harvard Medical School, M.D. 1969; post-doctoral fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Sciences, La Jolla, California 1969-1970. Visiting Writer, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1988.

Yeah Pony, he's not an expert on climate change. Should I paste it the resumes of the 900+ scientists who are climate experts whose published work that shows consensus on human factors of climate change since 2001?
- PonyBoy0
Mimio, sure.. go for it...
... and I'll paste 900+ apposing scientists...
... my point is that you attempted to belittle Flagellum for using Crichton as a source... when in fact he IS a scientist who happens to put a number of his own personal theories (which are fiction until proven) into novels...
- flagellum0
Chrichton was ONE of the sources I cited. There were a few articles worth reading in what i just linked. Yet Mimio persists with the Genetic Fallacy rather than considering the actual data. The bottom line is that there are good reasons to remain skeptical. Should we still do our part with regard to protecting the environment? Sure. But I am not convinced that humans are the cause of increasing warming.

Settle it:
Rread Weather Makers.
Tim Flannery.Plain fact. No fiction.
i come back to my early point, even if there was a chance it is true, why not act just in case. It's really not that hard is it?

the economic ramifications are enough to get all on board to slow or stop global warming. But alas we are not long term thinkers
- andy_qube0
The environmental raqmifications are enoughto get all on board.......
The demoratic system doesn't encourage goverments to make critical decisions that may be unpopular when all they are trying to do is to maintain status quo to ensure re election

(Dec 12 06, 14:47)Could you, please?

andy, I agree but to get the right wiggers interested in change, you have to speak their language, which is mainly greed.
