i was told as a child i was yellow/blue due to initial testing
the only problems i could possibly ever have imo are at extreme softness and desaturation
blue and yellow are as opposite as black and white to me

What always fucks me up is when I come to an intersection with a single flashing light. I never know if it's a red or a yellow.
I usually stop if other cars are around, otherwise I just blow through it as if it were yellow.

A few thoughts.
- I alwya thought the green light was white and I never undestood why it was called green.
- Color becomes a sciene on the computer. With one color you are aware of, you can get the color you want by adjustments. watch the values.
- I once told a girl in college that i couldn't see color. I saw everything like WonderWoman's plane, just white lines. She freaked out, totally believed me.
-Only had two problems, Never told any bosses I'm colorblind. Problem one(1997): designing Jurrasic Park watches for BK. Told to make dino's less green and more brown. I thought it was brown!!! Problem Two(2000): Making player faces for video game using correct skin tone, had 5 to choose from. I broke it down to blk/white image, then add the value on top in color mode. Perfect everytime. I just had a friend tell me what value to use on each one 1 - 5. They were really close.

Here is a little test for you guys. Can you tell the difference between the form fields? What does it look like to you color wise?

I can see the difference, but I couldn't tell you what color the bottom field is.

i've had 3 tests in my life
a simple dots in the book test at school, after a reccomendation to my parents from a specialist that came to our school with the dot book, i then had an eye specialist give me like an hour of tests; dots, lines, photographs, comparisons, blocks to organize all when i was around 9-10

once i get so far, i end up having a problem between the blue and purplewhich strangely enough has nothing to do with any of my diognoses
my third test was another battery of screen, printed, and block sorting when I was 17 from another specialist
I'm not sure if the specialist i saw was an optometrist in the go get your glasses from sense. they both had the big contraption for getting your lens persription but also tons of books and charts.
at both the specialists i was also shown pictures and told to redraw them as I saw them with the provided supplies like colored pencils and chalks
but neither time did it feel like a kids thing i was doing, the doctor took it all seriously taking notes and being really quiet

I came into a meeting and this square, nerdy guy I worked with that thought he was awesome starts laughing at me.
"hahaha, what do you think it is Saint Patricks day?"
"what are you talking about?"
"that green shirt!"
It was brown. I had a good laugh about it but everyone else felt bad for him. Color blind people shouldn't make fun of the color of other peoples clothes.

i think i am, i have trouble distinguishing between small samples of green and yellow, and blue and purple.

I'm a red/green. But I have problems with blue and black also. I think my condition is pretty slight since it's never really caused my any troubles. What's funny is that my uncle, also a graphic designer is red/green ...along with a guy from my old office, a red/green graphic designer.

yeah i got a friend suffering cataract, still with some trickery he managed to get a highly responsible job at air traffic control!
