My prediction is that in 20 years dress codes that ban tatts and piercings will seem like banning pants for women in the 50s.

(Jun 29 06, 10:19)True. I think with tattoos and piercings it's more about the 'cleanliness' issue.

Creative people do creative things. From a tatt to a reverse blue flat top, companys gotta get over the "standard" look. End the end, you are the one making them look better visually...

I agree that almost everyone has some ink esp in the design field. I have a tat on my wrist too. It's just a indian band that goes all the way around. I usually wear some pretty thick diving style watches but when ever the watch slips or I forget to wear it I get some strang looks from the suits.

I don't see why anyone should have to cover up a tattoo for work, when women can and do wear the most visually distracting do-dads and danglies that clatter with the slightest movement.

it seems like the only time anyone should care is if you're meeting with clients that would have an issue with your tattoos or if you were doing in house at a very corporate joint.
other than that, every creative i know is wacked out and could give two shits.

We've actually been having talks of integrating tattoo parlors in our prisons to minimize disease and other associated problems with old-fashioned prison tattoos (and the methods).
Weird.

(Jun 29 06, 12:19)While they're at they should add some brothels...that might minimize disease too.
