are you a freelancer or you work at an agency here?

MCAD was in dire need of a new site! Well done!

Jakeyj,
I work for the Walker right now, I've just been lucky enough to pick up some freelance here and there. For at least the next few weeks I'll just be doing freelance though.

(Jun 19 06, 14:02)Yeah the mcad site was terrible for a long time which totally defied the quality of the school. Good to see it's being represented very well now.

If only MCAD would spend the cash to produce consistant signage through the campus. The last time I was over there, I saw signage using at least six different type faces from six different eras...

boxcar "Actually about a year ago they redid all the signage/wayfinding systems on campus, along with their identity. it's pretty slick now.

no kidding about MCAD's signage - what is with that?
what's especially funny though, is that the previous MCAD site was in numerous web design books and won awards for it's usability - but just like everyone has said already, it didn't fit the school's atmosphere whatsoever.

going to bars in downtown doesn't count as fun, and neither does seeing Los Lonley Boys at First Ave.

the catepillar lounge was live last thursday night - 4-1 ladies shakin it to rico and tariqs smooth grooves - sidewalk outside azia was packed... scene would give any city a run for it's money... diane arbus opening at the walker - friday night - good scene as well.

Don't you think The Walker is played out? Or just overrated?
Maybe it's just me, but the most exciting thing to happen there was black dice last summer...
- spk0
yeah - the walker crowd is a little plastico - but the arbus show is a must anyway - way off kilter... fortunately the crowd was just off enough to make it a good night ... if old boy wants to go live in st. louis, omaha, milwaukee or dozens of other midwest cities... best of luck. minne isn't berlin, london, sf, tokyo or nyc ... but certainly is no deadzone

- coco_ono0

btw, lvl_13 ... have you gone to any of the Walker's Lecture series? Ellen Lupton will be speaking in two weeks I think. I def want to check it if tickets aren't all sold out.
- lvl_130
i have. i really wanted to go to the process type foundry lecture that was a couple weeks ago, but i missed it :( i actually had several classes with Eric (talented guy for sure), and it would have been great to catch up with my fellow classmates (a bunch of UMN alumni were there i am sure).

Yeah, the Experimental Jetset guys are coming to my Advanced Graphic Design Seminar class at MCAD for a special workshop -- Which is awesome because their lecture sold out. :\
