I really have a problem with this guy's site. His work is all the same and has fallen completely into the style wagon. No concept, just pretty graphics and no thought. If I was at uni and my degree poster was this:
I would have to say something.
If Avant Garde, Helvetica Neue, and Lublin dropped off the planet so would this guy.
STYLE = FART
Utter crap and no originality.Bye

ok so its heavily inspered by such people as build and DR but alot of it is very well done, I agree. at least its not rainbows and loads of 80s colours all voer the place, now THAT makes me ill.

I believe that this guy is only doing the work he does to make himself look good and not thinking about the client and the need for correct communication
I have seen no concepts in the work thus far.

I agree, but at the end of the day he's still a student. I guess he hasn't had to deal with clients on a daily basis.

theres no innovation or range at least... well from what i can see but the stuff is pleasing to the eye.

I think style can be a concept in it self.
But I agree, the guy has clearly ripped most in his portfolio from his heroes.

(Jun 16 06, 03:49)I agree and his work probably looks "nicer" than mine has ever been. But when I was at uni I tried to sketch out comps generat ideas and then apply considered (or so I hoped) type colours and imagery to enhance those ideas. I bet this guy doesn't even own a sketch pad.

Students have it easier today as technology is so much cheaper and access to the internet has progressed. When I was studying I didn't even have the net, maybe this was a good thing as it encouraged me to explore and create my own style which is what being a student is about. I can't believe they get three months to do one project...huh... if only.!!

Easy lads.
This boy is a student, and i think is work is bloody good. So what if he's influenced by tdr and the like, who on here hasnt been influenced by anyone? Does it look good? Yes. Theres constuctive critisim and theres being downright fucking rude.
