what's all the noise around ronaldo in the papers, the guy has a bad game and he is condamned... Everybody has a bad day, no? giveronnieabrake (and a cake)...

He didn't have a bad game though, a bad game is perhaps one where you have a few easy chances and miss them or you give away a penalty or score an own goal.
Standing around for 70 minutes and not running at all or even looking interested is beyond a bad game.
He deserves stick for the attitude but I do wonder if he's been under so much marketing pressure for so long he's now just a broken man.

Happened before in the world cup remember. Had a fit before the final but his sponsors forced him on.
Stage fright.

I'm not convinced about the stagefright thing, I think it's much heavier [sic] than that. After all, it's not like he's an inexperienced youngster playing his first WC or anything.
He didn't look bothered at Real all season either. I guess sometimes it's hard to motivate yourself when you have absolutely everything.

i think jamble is right on.

You think he would have something t prove after what the President of Brazil said.
He just couldn't be fucked. He only turned up because of the sponsorship deals he had. If he didn't then he would be at home eating all the pies. He Could of been a greater name than Pele. Shame really

true. he could have been the best player, now he's just the fattest one.
- jamble0
He was the best in the world a few years back but I guess when you look back at all his injuries and commercial commitments it's little wonder he's fucked up.

ok, but how do you explain all his goals during test-games?? Maybe he's epileptic... I'm sure he's gonna wake up sunday...

He has one more game to prove himself I reckon and then he will be on the bench. You must adit juju he looked very slack.
We can only wait and see. I would love to see some of the magic we all know he can produce
