Thanks Jesse. I did create a 75 that contained more curxes. I will study it a bit more, and return!

i am not feeling it either. the lines are not consistent. your type looks altered/stretched and out of context. there's no reasoning behind the look.

(Jun 14 06, 10:01)The lines not consistent? I don't follow.
I kind of get the same feeling that the type looks stretched now that you mention it, any suggestions? Lately I have been paying attention to thinner type alot. Also, I would like to add that 75 is my birth year, and I like the way the two number work with each other, and a gainst each other as well. i appreciate all the feedback.. keep it comin!

what does that shape have to do with anything then?

(Jun 14 06, 10:13)I would start over with a stronger concept for your studio name. I know that sounds harsh, but the year you were born has absolutely nothing to do with graphic design. Besides, company names with numbers in them is a played-out solution. Either make it a reference to design, the creative process, etc., or make it totally deadpan & unrelated or ridiculously generalized, like General Working Group or Universal Everything or National Forest (all taken).
The Neue thing isn't bad, just be aware that there are other designers with 'neue' in their moniker, such as Neuarmy, whom one will find on here occasionally.
My 2 cents, for whatever it's worth. Good luck.

It takes alot to come up with a name for a business, this is tuff! I have come up with other names in the past, maybe it's my own indesiciveness thats holding me back.
AARRRGGHH!!! I didn't even think about neuarmy! (sorry pal!) back to the drawing board...other possible names I thought of:
Spruce- a widespread coniferous tree that has a distinctive conical shape and hanging cones. A tree used in Christmas.
DP Creative- I wanted to use this, but I felt that using "Creative" or "Designs", "Studio" is a bit played out too.
Pangaea- Supercontinent. Name is taken for a software company.
I will now lose my mind...

patience young grasshopper. in time it will come. you will know. *bows

oh yeah another name I was thinking of was:
Parts Moving
too long of a name? I thinkt that it has potential to progress though.

mango, I can see that you really like that tear shape judging by your previous folio works. I would suggest that you experiment with many different shapes and ideas before committing to one. Don't rush it :)

(Jun 14 06, 12:21)Sorry about all the venting. I just feel pressured that I have to come up with something, and maybe that is why the logos seemd rushed. I have been battling this for a year or so already, and I just want to pick something and move on, heheh
*bows in return.

put down the self-congratulatory design books, and go read some poetry in a quiet place by yourself. Then exercise. Then take a nap.
The idea will come to you.
