terrible, maybe Dumbar did it...

Yes, version4 we all understand what it's supposed to be, but the treatment does "other things", in it's attempt to look current, and more exciting.

i think you missed the most important point of my post
I think it works even if it doesn't massage the egos of most graphic designers
version4

it looks very dated. like instead of making it fresher, they got mixed up by the cryptic verbage...

looks like Crispin Porter + Bogusky developed the campaign

It's official, Sprite lost it's marbles

It's current, its techy, its fot the youth
I think it works even if it doesn't massage the egos of most graphic designers
version4
(Jun 12 06, 09:47)that's just what I call bad typography, plain & simple.

maybe David Carson was involved during the "strategic development" back in, oh let's say, '93...

I just bought a rebranded sprite, and that lymon whirli-cane cut my gums to shreds. I want my money back.

I didn't miss your point. I just think ego is the problem with the inital conceit of the rebrand. Not whether or not it will find favor in the design community.

Izze has one of the only soda logos that definitely doesn't suck.
Please, nobody rebrand them!

another logo bites the dust. .... weird times we live in -- and yes, maybe aimed at a youthful generation that doesn't have longterm design sense/or need? .... I wish the thing looked more like a lemon/lime to me .. it's too round...... loses the point of the drink.
