Average pricing examples?

I know that the subject of pricing has been discussed frequently, but I'm looking for average costs for specific Print items (such as direct mail, brochures, etc.)
My client/partner thinks that my pricing is a bit high, but I'd like to show that it's in line with most Agency costs.
Has anyone seen surveys with actual cost ranges? I've looked all over the place, but can only find estimate calculation tutorials (which I know how to do).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks. I actually have this book (and get a lot of my pricing from it).
I'm looking for an online resource with examples of average prices. Amounts listed in this guide can be a little high, depending on the type of client and region...

these are not off the peg items, it depends on to many variables.

Yeah, that's exactly my problem.
This is why I'm looking for a survey that shows ranges for specific items and industries...

there are so many variables within a category, for instance brochures, that it would seem to be almost meaningless

Yeah, I hear ya -- although as in the Pricing Guide, there are definitely ranges that can be defined.
I'm interested in seeing how pricing for something like a postcard might vary by region or industry. For basic direct mail, $500 might be appropriate for one client while $2k would be realistic for another...
Many guides offer these ranges, but they tend to default to larger agency rates instead of smaller firms (which have less overhead and roles involved).
Does this make sense? It's entirely possible that I'm crazy.

No, I'm not deaf. Just crazy.
