I've got a movieClip with on (release) and on (rollOut) code attached on the main timeline. Inside the MC, there's buttons with over states, etc. But they're disabled for some reason and won't worj normally. What gives?

the onRelease and on rollOut code is probably screwing up the buttons ability to do anything
i guess the as code you wrote for the mc takes precedence over the buttons over states

is the hit area of the movieclip covering the button? if so, try changing layer order.

Your parent mc's event handling functions onRelease etc supercede the ones of any of it's children MovieClips or Buttons.

Right, I got it all figured out, thanks! It was superceding it's children. It was a very controlling parent.
