Hi all,
Hope you can help. I seem to be having a problem with the SAVE FOR WEB in Pshop and illus. If you look at the link below - the first square is from a screen shot and is how I want the colour to be, and the secon is one that has been exported! What's going on!
Any I deas?

dont save for web.
just use real RGB values.
uncheck your websafe colors box.

Selecting "Use Document Color Profile" in the Save for Web window (upper right hand corner above the image preview) will match the export colors to what you see on your screen.

ignore the other people - they lie.
Your .gif exporter is dirty. open the front flap and gently rub the bitmap compression heads with a little alcohol - not too much, otherwise you'll degrade your dither quality.
After you're done, do a few test exports at 256 colours, then down to adaptive web, then 16 colours.
If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the .gif module.
Good Luck!

Nairn, that was quite funny man!
Well, not quite getting to the bottom of this, I've had a look at the other SENSIBLE responses, and I'm still not sure it's sorting it out.
Any other ideas?

Are you working in RGB or CMYK. Try switching to RGB.
