Ok, is there that much difference other than the physical size and the fact that the mac book only comes with a 5200 rpm drive?
hold out for the pro or fuck it and by the black mac book?

actually it should be 5400..
and I would go for one of those rather than a 7200.. I don't think you'd spot big difference in speed, but I'm sure the 5400 has a longer life

Actually there is a noticeable difference between 5400 and 7200. Hard drive is the slowest part of modern computer. Even the 7200 drives are the only thing that still make laptops slower performers than desktop machines, as they don't have as fast as 3.5" drives. I'm afraid a 7200 drive is hotter too.
