it's a team effort. Doctors in every country rely on the findings and the progress that other researchers make
it's not an England or US thing. it's world wide thing
http://www.upmccancercenters.com…
although I hope they are right

Screw you, yankee boy..
...this is OUR TIME!
*calls all little Englanders to share in hogging limelight
(I am, naturally, just being a dick here. Carry on)

haa haa
ok this is your limelight!
*will hold tongue during the next US invention, especially Cancer
hee hee ;)

sometimes I can really feel the cancer in my tongue. You know, after those weekends where you've smoked like 8 packs of cigarettes your tongue is just pulsating with the cancer...

my friend, who chewed tobacco products for fucking 18 years has mouth cancer.
the fucking idiot!
now he regrets it, when I told him to stop 100 times per year

//though the cynical side of me says they "found a cure for diabetes" a few years ago........ i think we know where that stands

(May 19 06, 22:35)my cynical side says, fuck it, mother nature did this to us. the fact that we can't find a total cure for it is our tough luck. it occurs naturally in our systems. who are we to sit and judge the things that are 'so-called' wrong or right in nature. emotions have nothing to do with it
but that's not probably, from a human perspective, not a good way to think about it
*inserts foot in mouth

"my cynical side says, fuck it, mother nature did this to us"
My gut tells me that that is far from right.
With all the shit we do to ourselves as a species - from pesticides to alcohol distillation to lead in cosmetics and water, I'm not at all surprised that our DNA-fault tolerances aren't capable of sustaining the constant barage our 'civilisation' inflicts upon them..
- Nairn0
..er..
ie. 99% of cancers are likely caused by human-activity.
(imo!)
Sheesh.
- mpfree0
yeah like I meant to say, not so sure it's a realistic thing to believe from a human perspective.
that double negative came out wrong.
- 5timuli0
So... when's the first sanctioned human cull due to over-population?

I think some dark pharmicutical corporation must be buying the patent to this process or taking out the doctor because I have not heard this news anywhere else.
The big canadian medical news is that newborns breath better if you give them caffeen. Yeesh.

Just as long as they save those titties...we need all that we can get.

(May 20 06, 06:51)dont intellectualize this shit now i want to smoke in peace now and celebrate the fact that we will dominate nature in each and every way some day!
oh glorious condomless tobacco-rich and alcohol-induced days!! they will come!!!
- monkeyshine0
this is great news yet sad b/c I have an in-law who is dying of cancer right now. It must be so odd for her to read this news. And sad for those of us who have already lost someone to cancer.
